  • The most common finish for 3 mm thickness is 2B/2E, for thickness 4-8 mm the common finish is 1D

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS


1.4828 - heat-resistant steel dedicated for loaded parts working up to temperatures around 1050 ; austenitic grade with increased resistance to oxidation; commonly used to equip the furnaces


ADVANTAGES


  • Excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, including aqueous corrosion, high temperature corrosion and Sulphur attacks

  • Maximum temperature of 1050°C in service in the air

  • Very good resistance to carburizing

  • Good weldability and formability

It is used in the case of high-temperature chimneys, in which the flue gas temperature does not exceed 600°C (solid fuel boilers - including fireplaces) and in the case when the combustion temperature is higher than 450°C and no liquefaction of condensate - dry chimney.
