Polish stainless cut-to-length line starts in June

Polish stainless steel and aluminium service centre Nova Trading aims to start operating its new cut-to-length line for hot rolled coil in June.

The unit, which is being installed next month in a new hall at the company’s Torun site, extends its processing capability by handling coil up to 10mm thick and 2,150mm wide. Currently cut-to-length activities are restricted to coil 1,650mm wide up to 3mm thick, as previously reported.

Platts Steel Business Briefing understands that the new unit will be only the second line with these capabilities in Poland; the other one is operated by Aperam.
