Investments of Nova Metale

Nova Metale, a company belonging to the Nova Trading group, has announced its investment plans. The company will expand its equipment resources with two new machines for laser cutting of stainless steel and aluminum sheets in November this year. A laser cutting machine for round, square and rectangular tubes will be started in December, while the second CTL line for cutting of coils made of stainless steel and aluminum into the sheet will be launched in November 2022.

An assembly of two lasers TruLaser 5030 fiber (L76) is currently being implemented at the production plant of Nova Metale in Ostaszewo / Poland. Both machines will have a working area of 1500 x 3000 mm. The lasers are intended for cutting sheets made of stainless steel and aluminum of a maximum thickness of 25 mm.

A laser cutting of round, square and rectangular tubes made of stainless steel and aluminum will be another novelty in the group’s offer. The TruLaser Tube 7000 fiber laser will be started at the end of this year. This equipment will be used to cut tubes of the maximum wall thickness of 6 mm and length up to 6500 mm. The maximum outside diameter for round tubes will be 254 mm, while the minimum inside diameter 12 mm. Ranges for square and rectangular tubes: maximum length of the side and diameter of the circle circumscribed about a box section - 220 mm and 254 mm respectively; maximum length of the side for square tubes - 180 mm; minimum side length - 12 mm; maximum tube weight - 40 kg/m.

The second Cut-To-Length line for cutting of coils made of stainless steel and aluminum will be installed next year. The contract for delivery and assembly of this line was signed with the Italian company Fimi Machinery in September. It will be another equipment from this manufacturer installed in Nova Metale - the first CTL line and slitter were already installed by Fimi in 2018. New CTL will be intended for cross-cutting of coils made of stainless steel and aluminum of thickness from 0.6 to 3.0 mm; maximum width of coils 1600 mm. The device will be equipped with an automatic packing line. The start-up of this line is planned for November 2022.

Nova Metale is a state-of-the-art production plant manufacturing stainless steel and aluminum components for the industry. The company is located in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone in Ostaszewo near Torun/Poland. The company started production operations in December 2019.

Nova Metale is developed in compliance with the Industry 4.0 concept, in line with which the machinery and computer systems integrated have an impact on productivity and quality of operation.

Currently, the equipment resources of Nova Metale consist of a CTL line, slitter and line for grinding and brushing of sheets. Automatic warehouses integrated with computer systems, production etc. are used for the storage of long and flat products.
